Dear AGWCS Families and Friends:
The first day of classes at Austin Great Wall Chinese School (AGWCS), for 2010 Spring semester, is on Sunday, January 10th, 2010. The registration starts on December 10th.
Following are some policies regarding to the registrations and payment:
1. Early registration discount: Register before January 4th 2010 to get an early discount. Register after Jan. 4th 2010 or on-school-site registration will not get the early registration discount.
2. Refund Policy: Within two weeks from first day of school: Full refund. Within seven weeks from first day of school: One half of refund. After seven weeks from the first day of school: No refunds.
BOOK RETURN POLICY
For Cancel Class within two weeks:
If the CD has original seal, then full refund. Otherwise (half refund)
If the exercise book not be used and text book condition is good: full refund.
If the exercise book is used, No refund should apply.
For Cancel Class between three and seven weeks:
If the CD has original seal, then full refund. Otherwise the same rule apply as class (half refund )
If the exercise book not be used and text book is used: half refund.
If the exercise book is used, No refund should apply
No book refund should apply after seven weeks
For Class change within three weeks:
We should allow the book exchange only if the exercise book not be used.
For Class change after three weeks:
The class cancellation rule should apply to return books in this case.
New class book should be purchased separately.
3. Late Payment Policy: The student families must make full payment for the tuitions and fees within two weeks after the first day of school (on or before Jan 24th 2010).
A late fee of 10% of the semester's tuition fee will be applied after two weeks of school starts. After the 4th week, the board has discretion to hold the non-paying student from class attendance, or expel the student from the school.
We would like to thank you for your continuous support to our school, and we are looking forward to another successful semester. As a team of volunteers, the board will do its best to maintain our school as one of the best Chinese schools in town. Our mission is to provide a facility to teach Chinese language and culture to its students and to promote Chinese language, culture and friendship between Chinese and other ethnic groups. With your involvement, we are confident that we can fulfill our mission.
