All AGWCS classes are taught in Austin Webb Middle School. The class time is:
Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 6:00 (regular Chinese class are from 2:00 to 4:00, Bilingual classes are from 4:00 to 6:00. Most of the other classes are from 4:00 to 5:00. For accurate information, please see http://www.agwcs.org/school/?q=node/14 ).

学校新学期注冊日期和方法 Registration
1) 从12月7日开始网上注冊 (推荐 -- 简练和快捷)
Online registration starts on Dec. 7th (Recommend for fast and easy)

2) 开学当日现场注冊及交费 (尽量避免 -- 开学当日人多不便)
Registration in person in the same day school opens (NOT recommend for huge crowd and inconvenience at school open day)

3) 在一月四日之前注册， 可以得到每科10元的优惠。
Register on or before Jan. 4th to get early registration discount of $10 per class.

中文班﹕ $120 (一月四日前交费)﹐$130 (一月四日后及开学当日交费)
Regular Chinese Class:
$120 (pay before January 4th), $130 (pay after January 4th or on school open day)

单科班﹕ $70 (一月四日前交费)﹐$80 (一月四日后及开学当日交费)
Other Class:
$65 (pay before Jan. 4th), $80 (pay after Jan. 4th or on school open day)

成人双语﹕$155 (一月四日前交费)﹐$165 (一月四日后及开学当日交费)
Adult Bilingual Class:
$155 (pay before Jan. 4th), $165 (pay after Jan. 4th or on school open day)

The classroom assignment could be found at “List of Teachers & Classes” page. On the first day of the school (Sunday, 09/07/2008), the location of all classes will be posted on the wall of school hallway and cafeteria as well.

教师资历和经验 Teacher’s qualification and Experience
大多数教师具有高等学历和教学经验。所有老师均接受学校面试后录用
Most teachers hold higher education degrees and years of teaching experience. . All the teachers must have an interview before get hired.

中文课程是否仅限儿童和青少年
Are school Chinese classes for children and teens only?
中文课程也适合成人﹐ 双语班有很多成人学生。
The Chinese classes are not for children and teens only. There are lots of adults registered to the Bilingual Classes.

我怎样选择双语班课程?
How do I choose a right bilingual class for myself?
Have you ever learned any Chinese? If not, pick up the Bilingual Chinese Level 1 (used to be beginner class) for sure. If you have basic training and/or previous Chinese language class, you may choose Bilingual Chinese Level 2 (used to be intermediate class). If you have pretty strong Chinese background, the Bilingual Chinese level 3 or 4 (used to be Advanced or Super Advanced class) are the right choice.

How to select a right class and grade for my child who is a first time student
你可根据孩子的中文基础和年龄來选择。或资询学校和老师
You may do it based on your kid’s age and Chinese level. Also talk to AGWCS and the teachers for suggestions.

学校採用哪种中文教材 What kind of the Chinese text books to be used?
普通中文班採用两种教材﹕暨南大学版和馬立平版
双语班採用快乐汉语， 汉语会话301和幼儿汉语。

For Regular Chinese class, there will be two Chinese text books to be used
- Ji-Nan University (Regular Chinese Class)
- Ma Li-Ping (Regular Chinese Class)
For Bilingual Chinese class, Kuaile Hanyu, Conversational Chinese 301 and Youer Hanyu are used.

中文教材及CD/VCD的费用如何﹖
What are the costs for Chinese Text Books and CD/DVD’s?
暨南大学版 (Ji-Nan University)﹕$12 (BOOK), $6 (one VCD for Grade 1-6), $10 (2 VCD's for Grade 7-12)
馬立平版 (Ma Li-Ping): $50 (for both book and CD)

学费和书费/CD(VCD) 是否必须同时交?
Should I pay tuition and text book/CD at the same time and same check?
可以同时也可分开。但为方便起見﹐学校建议大家一次缴清。

You don’t have to and you can pay separately. But for both of us convenience, it is recommended to pay at the same time and in the same payment.

非注冊学生可否购买中文教材
Can non-registered students buy text book from AGWCS?
不可以﹐教材仅提供給注冊学生
No, we provide text books to our registered students only.

学校除了中文课以外还开設哪些课程?
Besides Chinese classes, what classes else AGWCS provides?

我能否自己选择老师和班級? Can I pick up the class and the teachers by myself?
可以﹐但是每个班级最多有20个学生。 所以先注册者有优先选择权。
Yes, but the maximum number of students in a class is 20. So it’s based on first come, first serve basis.

我孩子上学期的老师是否隨班升級?
Is the teacher in my kid’s class last semester going to the next level with the same class?
本学年普通中文班的老师不随班升级。但双语班的老师还随班升级。
For this school year, for Regular Chinese classes, the teachers are not going to the next level with the same class. For the Bilingual class, the teachers are still going to the next level with the class.

学生如何取消注冊以及退款方法 How do I drop the class and get refund?
已注冊家长或成人学生须取消注冊从AGWCS的网站 http://www.agwcs.org。
开学后两周內﹕退所缴学费全款
开学后七周內﹕退所缴学费半款
开学后七周后﹕恕不退款

Please drop class from AGWCS website http://www.agwcs.org and get the refund per following situations:
- Within two weeks from first day of school: Full refund.
- Within seven weeks from first day of school: One half of refund.
- After seven weeks from the first day of school: No refunds.

如何注销课程 Steps to drop class from AGWCS:
1. Go to http://www.agwcs.org
2. Click on Registration & Enrollment link, and log in.
3. Select the student name, and click on Enrollments button
4. Click on Cancel button to drop class.

本学期何时結束 When will this semester end?
一般在州公立学校前結束。详情请查学校网站” School 2010 Calendar”网页。
Usually AGWCS semester ends right before the state public schools.
